Site updated June 17th, 2020 We are closed now. I have retired after 25 years of being in retail in Saluda. It's been fun but now it's time for me to carry on and do what I want. I am still working on selling this unique building which has it's own apartment for living quarters or rental, an office space and a shop space. Perfect place for someone who works from home or is ready for a simpler life here in North Carolina. Please message me for more info or questions that you might have.
I am listing many items from the shop on my facebook page including clothing, fixtures, jewelry, antiques, vintage and more.... go to this page and check it out. Message me for more info on items available.
Here is some of what I have been doing during the Covid-19 isolation and social distancing. Enjoy my gallery of creative thoughts and pondering. Hit Play in the corner to see the slide show or... CLICK on each photo on the right to see each one in a larger format.
The Random Arts & Apparel shop is now closed permanently as retirement has selected me to move on. I will be selling fixtures, displays, lighting, art supplies and boutique clothing items at reduced prices. Pictures are being posted on Facebook. Questions?
I am very fortunate to have choices at this stage in my life and because of that, I am taking an opportunity to start living my life and having some fun. Selling my building is the first step in going forward and not because " I have to", but because "I want to". 25 years in retail is a long time and most of those years I did it all alone. My passion is gardening, so I hope to spend time doing that and my art. All those years I watched y'all get involved with so many different forms of art with so many great teachers, & I never really got to participate. Fortunately, I was always surrounded by all of you and your creative souls. Now, it's MY turn. I might be here, I might be there and I just don't know what each day will bring, so until then, I will be here doing my thing.
We are happily located S.O.M.S (Slightly Off Main Street) in Saluda, NC. Saluda sits just at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2100 feet. We've been nestled into this tiny mountain town as a retail shop since 1995 & many changes in those years have affected us in positive ways. In 2010 we found ourselves purchasing, renovating & occupying a 100 year old building which was once a house. We added 3 large parking lots and a ramp to include ADA accessibility making your visit here fun & effortless.
